TV & film actor Rita Bhaduri dies, celebs from television world  mourn

New Delhi:Television and film actress Rita Bhaduri,  known for her roles of a loving mother in many TV serials and popularly known as the 'Dadi ma' of TV show 'Kumkum', died on Tuesday morning.She was 62.
In a post on social media,  TV actor Shishir Sharma, Bhaduri's co star   in the TV show 'Kumkum', said,  "We deeply regret to inform you that Reeta Bhaduri has departed for her journey beyond. The funeral rites will be held on 17th July, Tuesday 12 noon at the Cremation Ground, Parsi Wada Road, Parshiwada, Chakala, Andheri East Extremely sad.. lost a wonderful human being .. a mother to many of us.. will miss u Ma.''
Suffering from a  kidney ailment, Rita was in the hospital for the last 10 days.
 
Rita, who has worked in over 20 TV shows, which includes 'Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai', 'Amanat' and 'Kumkum', was recently  seen in the role of a grandmother in Star Bharat's 'Nimki Mukhiya'.
Starting off as supporting actress in various Bollywood films during the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s, including 'Sawan Ko Aane Do' , 'Julie' , 'Anurodh', 'Vishwanath', 'Nastik' and Raja (1995), she became a popular face in television from  the  90s.
 
She was from the 1973 batch of the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune.
Rita has been associated with the Gujarati Film Industry. Even though not of Gujarati origin, she has been one of the exceptionally successful actresses in the Gujarati film industry.
Condoling her death, TV producer Anuradha Prasad said, ''RIP dadi Ma of Indian tele serial #Kumkum #RitaBhaduri . My prayers for departed soul.''TV actors Anup Soni, Vivek Dahiya and Salil Sand also expressed their  grief on the death of the actor.(UNI)
