Madurai (Tamil Nadu): Anxious moments prevailed for some time at the domestic arrival area of Madurai airport on Monday evening, after one of the security guards of actor and Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) president C.Joseph Vijay put his pistol on the head of a fan as a warning for breaching the security and attempted to adorn shawl to him.
The actor-turned-politician was returning to Chennai via Madurai airport in a private jet after completing the shooting for his Tamil film ‘Jana Nayagan’ at Thandikudi in the hill station of Kodaikanal, when the incident was reported.
Vijay travelled by car from Thandikudi to Madurai airport for boarding the flight.
Hundreds of his fans gathered at Madurai airport to receive him.
Upon exiting his car, the security guards surrounded him in a bid to give protection from the surging crowd of fans.
However, P.V.Inbaraj, an ardent fan of the actor hailing from Madurai managed to breach the security guards and attempted to present the TVK party shawl to Vijay.
One of the security guards put his pistol on the fan’s head, before he was forcibly removed from the spot.
Meanwhile, a minor scuffle was reported between the journalists and bouncers of the actor, when the media persons attempted to get his comments.
The bouncers allegedly pushed down the reporters and photo journalists when they attempted to approach Vijay for news coverage.
