'Udaipur Files' the movie which was debated and brainstormed in courtroom more than Cineplex premise has finally began to recover from the dent. Owing to the absence of major release this week, the movie 'Udaipur Files' was re released in patches after the producer vent out his anger on the lack of hindu consciousness on Micro blogging site twitter.
Initially cleared for release on 8th August, Vijay Raj starrer movie has earned a crore despite subdued promotion and shrunken screen presence taking the gross collection to 6 crores, the producer reported.
The film revolves around Kanhaiya Lal Teli, a tailor based in Udaipur, was brutally murdered in June 2022, allegedly by Mohammad Riyaz and Mohammad Ghous, who later released a video stating that the murder was in retaliation for Kanhaiya Lal’s social media post supporting former BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma’s controversial comments about the Prophet.
The case is being investigated by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) under charges framed under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act and the Indian Penal Code.The trial is currently underway before the Special NIA court in Jaipur.<>
