Uri, Andhaadun, Padmaavat, 'Badhai Ho' hog honours at 66th Natfilm awards

New Delhi:Sriram Raghvan's 'Andhaadun' bagged the National award for Best Film and along with Hindi films 'Uri', 'Padmaavat' and 'Badhai Ho' , it  hogged the honours at the 66th National film awards announced here on Friday. 
Besides winning the National award for best film, 'Andhaadun' also fetched for its lead actor Ayushmann Khurana the National film award for best actor, which he shared with Vicky Kaushan for 'Uri'.
 
'Andhaadun' also bagged the award for Best Adapted Screenplay.'Uri' , based on the 2016 surgical strikes, 'Padmaavat' and 'Badhai Ho' also made their presence felt at the awards. While 'Padmaavat' bagged awards for Best choreography for the song 'Ghoomar', Best Male Playback Singer award for Arijit Singh for 'Binte Dil' and the award for best music director for Sanjay leela Bhansali, 'Uri' also bagged Best director award for Aditya Dhar, Best background music and Best sound design at the awards, which were announced by jury chairman and filmmaker Rahul Rawail.
      
'Badhai Ho' also made its mark at the awards- while it fetched the Best Supporting Actress award for Srekha Sikri, it also  won the Award for Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment.
 
Another film 'Padman', featuring Akshay Kumar, also made its presence felt at the awards, bagging the award for best film on social issues.The Best Actress award was bagged by Keerthy Suresh for Mahanati while the Best Supporting Actor award went to  Swanand Kirkire for Chumbhak
  
The Award for Best Feature Film was bagged by 'Hellaro'(Gujarati) while that for Best special effect went to 'Awe' and ' KGF'.Best Makeup Artiste awards went to Ranjith for Awe while the Best costume designer award went to 'Mahanati' and the Best Action award for 'KGF'.
  
The award for best Lyrics was bagged by Manjutha for Nathicharami  while that of Best Production Design went to  'Kammara Sambhavam' and that of Best Editing to ' Nathicharami'(UNI)
