Mumbai: Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan is set to make a special cameo in the horror-comedy "Thama". Helmed by Dinesh Vijan, the film stars Ayushmann Khurana in the lead, donning the role of a vampire in what promises to be an enthralling cinematic experience.
According to the sources, Varun Dhawan's cameo will introduce an explosive dynamic, as he steps into the role of a ferocious werewolf, setting the stage for an intense showdown with Ayushmann's vampire character. The film is currently being shot at a grand Mumbai studio, where an adrenaline-charged action sequence between the two actors is being meticulously crafted.
Director Aditya Sarpotdar has pulled out all the stops to make this confrontation a cinematic spectacle, incorporating next-gen CGI effects and precision-driven fight choreography.
The film also stars Rashmika Mandanna in a leading role, marking her entry into the horror-comedy space. With a stellar ensemble cast including Paresh Rawal and Nawazuddin Siddiqui, the film promises an intriguing mix of humour, thrills and fantasy elements.
The film is slated for a grand release coming October around Diwali, though the exact date is yet to be finalised.
