Vidhu Vinod Chopra to to produce a movie on struggle of J&K Police

Srinagar: Director General of Police (DGP) S P Vaid has said that Bollywood director and producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra is of the opinion that it’s time the sacrifices of Jammu and Kashmir Police are highlighted. The DGP said J&K police personnel laid down their lives for the sake of peace and integrity of the state and the country.“It was a pleasure interacting with notable Bollywood director & producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra. He agreed with me that it's time that the sacrifices of @JmuKmrPolice are highlighted - who laid down their lives for the sake of peace and integrity of the state and the country,” Dr Vaid wrote on micro-blogging site twitter after meeting the Mr Chopra.

Meanwhile, a spokesman told UNI on Saturday that Mr Chopra who is shooting his film in the State interacted with Dr Vaid and other senior officers.Dr Vaid requested Mr Chopra to help in projecting the contribution and sacrifies of J&K Police through his medium of art to the people of the country and abroad. 

He said the film maker assured that all assistance will be provided in highlighting the service of the J&K Police to the nation. During the interaction various suggestions regarding to project the role of J&K Police in the service of nation were discussed.Special DGP V K Singh, ADGP CID A G Mir , IGsP Jagjit Kumar, J P Singh, Anand Jain, AIGsP Mubassir Latifi, Sameer Rekhi, Abdul Waheed Shah and Manoj Pandit were present in the meeting.
