Mumbai: Acclaimed filmmaker Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri's upcoming political drama 'The Bengal Files' had its grand premiere in New Jersey, USA, drawing strong emotional responses from audiences during its initial screening.
The film, which had already garnered considerable buzz following the release of its teaser, captivated the New Jersey audience during its debut screening, evoking an impassioned response.
Taking to his social media, filmmaker Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri shared glimpses of the audience’s reactions, showing how deeply moved they were after witnessing the hard-hitting, shocking, and untold story of “Direct Action Day”—a portrayal that raises the alarming question: is Bengal becoming another Kashmir? He also wrote the caption: “Audience reactions after the first-ever screening of the untold story of Hindu genocide #TheBengalFiles in New Jersey.”
Written and directed by Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri, the film boasts a formidable ensemble cast featuring Mithun Chakraborty, Pallavi Joshi, Anupam Kher and Darshan Kumar and has been jointly produced by Abhishek Agarwal and Pallavi Joshi under the banners of Tej Narayan Agarwal and I Am Buddha.
The film forms the final installment of Agnihotri's impactful Files trilogy, which previously included "The Kashmir Files" and "The Tashkent Files".
The film is slated to released in theaters on September 5.
