Mumbai: Action spectacle "War 2", featuring Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR, has emerged as a box-office juggernaut, racing beyond the Rs 200 crore milestone in the Indian market within a span of merely eight days.

Helmed by visionary filmmaker Ayan Mukherji and produced by Aditya Chopra, the film unfurled in theatres on August 14, under the banner of Yash Raj Films (YRF). As the sixth chapter in YRF's meticulously crafted Spy Universe, the film not only expands the franchise's canvas but also reinforces its stature as a premier purveyor of large-scale cinematic spectacles.

The ensemble cast boasts not only of Roshan and Kiara Advani in pivotal roles, but also marks Jr. NTR's Bollywood debut, adding a pan-Indian allure to the franchise. Adding weight to the narrative are seasoned actors Anil Kapoor and Ashutosh Rana, whose performances fortify the ensemble.

According to the report of trade website Sacnilk, "War 2" raked in a staggering Rs 199.25 crore during its opening week. Early estimates for day eight indicate an additional Rs 5 crore, elevating the cumulative domestic earnings to Rs 204 crore, thereby consolidating the film's stature as one of the year's most lucrative ventures.
