Mumbai: Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar on Wednesday made a daring attempt to blend a song and dance act into the tricks performed by a magician, resulting in the song 'Garda,' which came out on Wednesday.

Sharing the song from his upcoming movie 'Atrangi Re,' on his social media, Akshay Kumar captioned his post,"Udega #Garda, kyunki uth gaya hai jaadu ka parda. Let me spellbind you with this amazing track! Song out now! #AtrangiRe streaming from 24th December on #DisneyPlusHotstarMultiplex @disneyplushotstar @aanandlrai @dhanushkraja @saraalikhan95 @arrahman @thedalermehndiofficial #BhushanKumar @kamil_irshad_official @ganeshacharyaa #HimanshuSharma @cypplofficial #CapeOfGoodFilms @tseriesfilms @tseries.official @ashishsverma."

Looking every bit of a magician in an embroidered sherwani and a black hat, Akshay tries to perform tricks for his audience, in the middle of his singing and dancing act.

The song has been penned by Irshad Kamil and composed by AR Rahman. Daler Mehndi and Himanshu Sharma have lent their voice to the song.

Atrangi Re stars Dhanush and Sara Ali Khan as the lead pair. Their characters are forcefully married to each other after being drugged. Though they eventually fall for each other, things go awry when Sara's old lover, played by Akshay Kumar, returns in her life. She confesses being in love with both of them.

The Hindi version has been titled Atrangi Re, while Tamil version is titled Galatta Kalyanam. Directed by Aanand L Rai, the flick is produced by T-Series, Colour Yellow Productions and Cape of Good Films.

The film is set to premiere on Disney+ Hotstar on December 24, 2021 in Hindi and Tamil. (UNI)
