WATCH - Shiva, part 1 of magnum opus Brahmastra, trailer OUT now!

Mumbai: “Shiva”, part one of the upcoming magnum opus “Brahmastra”, an Ayan Mukerji directorial venture, releases in theatres on September 9 next year.

Filmmaker Karan Johar, whose Dharma Productions is among the producers of the film, tweeted the news: “Bow down to the fire that's Shiva! Brahmastra Part One: Shiva - releases in cinemas on 09.09.2022,” he posted, with a trailer of the film.

The film, based on Indian mythology, has been constructed as a trilogy. The first part follows the protagonist Shiva and Isha, played by Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt.

The official handle of Dharma Productions dropped the poster and motion teaser on social media. They captioned it, “Fire is his fate and fury! Brahmastra Part One: Shiva - releases in cinemas on 09.09.2022.”

The film also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna Akkineni and Mouni Roy.

In the motion poster Ranbir is seen standing with fire all around him as he holds a VFX enhanced Trishul, complementing the majestic Shiva image in his background.

Ayan's magnum opus, the 'Brahmastra' trilogy has been produced by Fox Star Studios, Karan Johar's Dharma Productions, Prime Focus and Starlight Pictures. The second and third parts of 'Brahmastra' are due in 2024 and 2026.

Apoorva Mehta, the CEO and Producer of Dharma Productions, in a tweet said: “The most powerful weapon in the universe is waking up! And a new hero will rise! World, meet 'Shiva'! “Brahmastra Part One: Shiva - releases in cinemas on 09.09.2022.”
