Team India stamped their dominance with an unbeaten campaign, culminating in a stunning victory over Pakistan in the final of Asia Cup 2025.

Fans across the country have been celebrating the country’s win on social media, with veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan also celebrated the victory with cheeky trolling of Pakistan.

Amitabh Bachchan took to his X (previously Twitter) handle and wrote, “T 5516(i) - jeet gaye!! well played 'Abhishek Bachchan'... udhar zubaan ladkhadayi, aur idhar, bina batting bowling fielding kiye, ladkhada diya dushman ko!! bolati band!! jai hind! jai bharat! jai maa durga !!!! (Well played 'Abhishek Bachchan'.. there the tongue faltered, and here, without batting or bowling or fielding, he made the enemy falter!! Stopped speaking!! Jai Hind! Jai Bharat! Jai Maa Durga!!!!)"

Big B’s tweet was a jibe at Pakistan's former speedster Shoaib Akhtar, who accidentally referred to Indian cricketer Abhishek Sharma as "Abhishek Bachchan" while discussing strategies during a recent show ahead of the finale. During the show, Shoaib said, “If Pakistan manage to get Abhishek Bachchan out in a hypothetical situation, then what is going to happen with the middle-order? Their middle-order hasn’t performed well.” The panel burst into laughter as the host and other guests quickly corrected him that Shoaib had meant to say Abhishek Sharma.
