Lucknow :Bollywood actor Rajpal Yadav, who entered political arena after floating Sarv Sambhav Party in the Uttar Pradesh State Assembly elections, was very hopeful of getting positive response from the electorate. Yadav disclosed that it took him two years to understand what he wanted to do by participating in politics.
The party is contesting on 320 seats. 'I sowed the seed in 2017 though the work on it had begun in 2015. I wanted to change the way politics is being perceived today where it is nothing but a Machiavellian game of “sam dam dand bhed,' however for me it is not “Rajniti” but “Niti Raj” where politics is all about policies and the win of good over evil” he told UNI here today. Yadav said he named his outfit “Sarv Sambhav” which implied that all are united under the same belief.
“I have often wondered that when even though we have been scientifically advanced we have still not been able to create blood or make blood then who are we to divide blood. It was with this emotion that I created the Sarv Sambhav Party that connects all. I am pained to see that there are eight lanes for the big vehicles but just one lane in the villages,” he said. He said he keeps 150 days for his work, 150 days for his politics and 65 days for his family.
“When I had entered the industry, then people asked me whether I wanted to become Amitabh Bacchan or any other actor but I told them that I wanted to become only Rajpal Yadav. Today also instead of being a publicity manager for other parties I would rather have my own party,” he said. On why he was not interested in contesting the elections, he said he would rather make efforts for all the candidates. Rajpal's brother was contesting in this election from Shahjahanpur, the native place of the actor. (UNI)
