The latest poster for Haq, Showcasing Emraan Hashmi & Yami Gautam Dhar in powerful avtars has officially been released. Set in 1978, Indore Madhya Pradesh the film traces Shah Bano's struggle after divorce with husband. She subsequently Filed a criminal case in Supreme court.After a long seven year battle,the supreme court ruled in Shah Bano's favor to receive alimony in 1985. However the decision was overturned by the then Rajiv Gandhi led Congress government allegedly to appease minority.
In the lead roles, Hashmi steps into the shoes of Mohd. Ahmed Khan, while Gautam portrays Shah Bano Begum, with the teaser highlighting their intense legal battle and powerful face-off inside the courtroom.
Directed by Suparn S. Varma, the film also stars Vartika Singh, Danish Husain, Sheeba Chadha, and Aseem Hattangady in pivotal roles.
Backed by Junglee Pictures, HAQ is produced by Vineet Jain, Vishal Gurnani, Juhi Parekh Mehta, and Harman Baweja. The film is slated to release in the theatres on November 7, 2025.
