Shefali Shah brings up a whole lot of experience with her that reflects in her performances as well. She is the kind of actress who the audience has seen in different roles in every film. And, her next Amazon Prime Video’s 'Jalsa' will project yet another example of her artistry.

Shefali’s process of achieving the character goes deep down to the roots to bring out perfectionism. The audience will see her playing a very intense role in her upcoming drama-thriller Amazon Prime Video's 'Jalsa'. The trailer of the film is out and her performance has already become an influencing factor for the audience to watch out Jalsa for.

Telling us a fun experience from the shoot of Jalsa, Shefali shares, "Well, there were fun parts but right after the first shot, it’s a very intense film. For me, creatively- it was very high."

The actress is ready to go up to any extent to perfect her shot. Talking about an incident from the shoot she adds, "There was one scene it was very maddening to shoot because of the continuity of my dupatta, my purse. So, it was a scene where I walk into the garage and hit the boy. So I asked the director she is coming from the hospital and Ruksana if going out, she won't go without the dupatta, so where is her dupatta. He said, “give her the dupatta” and I come and hit the guy. So the way I wanted to do is— hit him, grab him, hit him with purse and he said, go ahead. I did it and it was good. But then when they started to take it from different angles they wanted to match the moment of my dupatta when it fell down, when my hand goes up, was one handle of the purse was fallen...! I regretted all my asking again. We had to re-do it to match the continuity."

Jalsa marks the third collaboration between Abundantia Entertainment, Vidya Balan and Prime Video. Jalsa is also a step ahead in the longstanding association between Prime Video and Abundantia Entertainment on the back of a celebrated content slate including Shakuntala Devi, Sherni, Chhorii, Ram Setu, multiple seasons of the hugely popular Amazon Original Series Breathe.

Suresh Triveni has earlier collaborated with Vidya Balan for the audience favourite, Tumhari Sulu and the duo is now coming together for their second feature.

And for the first time, two power performers – Vidya Balan and Shefali Shah will be seen sharing the screen. Jalsa will have a global premiere on Amazon Prime Video on 18th March in India and across 240 countries and territories worldwide.
