Nirisha Basnett's character Chitra in Sudhir Sharma and Seema Sharma’s Ziddi Dil Maane Na (ZDMN) is one of the roles that has been showered with love by the viewers. The actor agrees that the support the show and her character are getting, especially on social media, are both motivating and overwhelming.

“A lot of things about Chitra resemble my persona. She is bubbly, cheerful, loud, expressive and colourful. That's exactly me. Therefore, I don't have to work a lot to get into the skin of my character. I end up having such easy and fun time on the set and the shoot goes really smooth minus any stress,” she says.

Recalling a situation or a time in life when her ‘dil’ became ‘ziddi’, Nirisha shares, “I ran away from my home in Kathmandu, Nepal, to come to Mumbai to fulfil my acting dream... I started off with zero contact and whatever little saving I had. This huge leap of faith and courage that I had in me is the proof of my 100 percent Ziddi Dil and I am still pursuing my dream job.”

Talking about the producer duo, she starts by saying that she is haven't had a chance to spend a lot of time with them on the set.

“From what I hear from my co-actors is that both Sudhir sir and Seema ma'am are extremely kind and respectful. I have met them only a couple of times and liked the fact how they are really driven to make ZDMN a success. They were really sweet to me and had kind words to say. We are connected via Instagram and it's sweet that both of them react to my posts and stories… I remember getting a call from Reema ma'am for this show. I don't know how she got my number. I auditioned and got selected soon after. The journey so far on the show has been wonderful,” adds the actor.

Nirisha bonds well with actors Monami and Suman, respectively, on the show.  “Monami was the first person I met on the set and immediately formed a connection. She is humble. The more time we spend together the more I realised that we have so many things in common. Of all the six leads in ZDMN, I have most of my scenes with her. On or off the camera, we are constantly in touch. Sumanji is also a sweetheart. I share my dressing room with her and we also have many all scenes. She is down-to-earth and loving,” she ends on the note that the show keeps getting all the love and praises from the audience.
