Mumbai: Rising on its innovative theme and storyline and brilliant performances by Alia Bhatt and Shah Rukh Khan, Gauri Shinde’s ‘Dear Zindagi’ has earned Rs 32.5 crore on its opening weekend across India, making it among the top opening weekend grosser in 2016, trade experts said today.
According to trade expert Taran Adarsh, ‘Dear Zindagi’ earned Rs 32.5 crore in the opening weekend from across India.Trade experts said the Gauri Shinde directed film is now among the Top Weekend Openers of 2016.
Produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma productions, ‘Dear Zindagi’ is yet another success for Karan Johar this year after ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ and ‘Kapoor & Sons’.Directed by Gauri Shinde, ‘Dear Zindagi’, featuring Alia in the lead, Shahrukh Khan in a special appearance and Angad Bedi, Kunal Kapoor and Ali Zafar in key roles.
