New Delhi: After director Sajid Khan, veteran actor Nana Patekar, who is in the midst of a controversy over allegations leveled against him by actress Tanushree Dutta, has decided to distance himself from ‘Housefull 4’ till the air is cleared on the charges against him.
A statement released by the actor said, “Nanasaheb does not want any inconvenience caused to anyone and hence in the backdrop of false accusations levelled against him. He thought it fit to distance himself with the ongoing project of Housefull.”
Nana Patekar is the second actor to quit the project after superstar Akshay Kumar on Friday announced his decision to quit the project following allegations of sexual misbehavior leveled against the film’s director Sajid Khan.
Farhad Samji to direct ‘Housefull 4’ after Sajid’s exit
After Sajid Khan’s stepping down as the director of ‘House full 4’ following allegations of sexual misbehavior against him, the production house has roped in Farhad Samji to direct the film, trade sources said on Saturday.
Farhad Samji had directed ‘Housefull 3’.
Sajid Khan had stepped down as director on Friday after three women alleged him of sexual harassment.
Farhad Samji has also written the dialogue for the movie.
Sajid was accused of sexual harassment by three women which included a journalist, an actor and an assistant director. (UNI)
