‘Sultan’ enters Rs 300-cr club, grosses Rs 584 cr worldwide

Mumbai: Continuing with its impressive performance at the box office, the Salman Khan-starrer ‘Sultan’ has entered the Rs 300-crore club in terms of its earnings in the domestic box office and grossed Rs 584 crore at the worldwide box office in 35 days, trade sources said. Trade sources said that ‘Sultan’, based on life of Olympian wrestler Sultan Ali Khan, became the latest entrant to the Rs 300 cr club yesterday will collections of Rs 300.06 crore in India.

Till now, the film has grossed Rs 420.08 crore (nett. 300.06 crore) at the domestic box office and Rs 164 crore in the international markets, taking its total worldwide earnings to Rs 584.08 crore. Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar and produced by Aditya Chopra, ‘Sultan’, which also stars Anushka Sharma, Randeep Hooda and Amit Sadh in key roles, is the third highest grossing movie in the history of Indian cinema after 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' and Aamir Khan-starrer 'PK'. The film has been breaking box office records since its release on Eid.(UNI)
