Ghazipur (UP): Sarsanghchalak of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh Mohan Bhagwat has released a book on the life journey of Param Vir Chakra awardee martyr Abdul Hamid.

Bhagwat reached Veer Abdul Hamid's village Dhamupur where he released a book based on author Dr Ramachandran Srinivasan's conversation with martyr Abdul Hamid's son. This programme was organised on the occasion of Abdul Hamid's birthday.

On this occasion, the Sangh Chief garlanded the statue of martyr Hamid and his wife Rasoolan Bibi and paid tribute to them.

Speaking on the occasion, he said that remembering and emulating the martyrs builds a great India and gives the pride of being a good Indian. "Those who shed blood and sweat for their motherland and ancient culture should be respected and considered as their ideal," he said.

It may be noted that Abdul Hamid was posthumously awarded the highest gallantry award, the Param Vir Chakra, for his indomitable courage and bravery during the war between India and Pakistan.

The visit of the Sangh Chief to the village of Paramveer Chakra winner Veer Abdul Hamid and the launch of the book 'Mere Papa Paramveer' based on the conversation of his elder son Zainul Hasan is a very important step in itself.
