17,092 fresh cases of COVID registered & 29 succumbs in past 24 hours

New Delhi: India has registered 17,092 new Covid-19 new cases, the Health Ministry said on Saturday.According to the ministry's bulletin, the total caseload rose to 4,34,86,326 while the death toll rose to 5,25,168 as 29 more people succumbed to the disease.

On a positive note, 14,684 people recovered from the disease, taking the tally to 4,28,51,590. The recovery rate stands at 98.54 per cent.The active caseload currently stands at 1,09,568, the figures showed.

As per the bulletin, 86.32 crore tests for Covid-19 have been done so far.India has administered 197.84 crore doses of Covid-19 vaccine so far under the ongoing nationwide vaccination drive.(UNI)
