COVID-19 fourth wave scare: India records 3,545 new cases in last 24 hrs

New Delhi: India has registered 3,545 new Covid-19 cases, taking the total tally to 4,30,94,938 in the country, the Health Ministry data said on Friday.

As many as 27 fresh fatalities were also recorded in the last 24 hours, taking the total death count to 523,869 across the country.

The active cases stand at 19,688, which now comprises 0.05 per cent of the total infections, while the national Covid-19 recovery rate stands to 98.74 per cent.

Meanwhile, 3,549 fresh recoveries were reported, taking the total recoveries to 4,25,51,248.

According to a bulletin from the Ministry, 83.98 crore vaccination tests for Covid-19 have been done so far. In the last 24 hours, 2,95,588 tests were conducted.

“India has administered 189.81 crore doses of vaccine so far,” the Ministry said. (UNI)
