COVID-19: India logs 16,051 new cases, lowest this year

New Delhi: India has registered 16,051 new Covid-19 cases, the Union Health Ministry said on Monday.

According to the bulletin issued by the Ministry, the total caseload rose to 4,28,38,524, while the death toll rose to 5,12,109 as 206 succumbed to the disease.

The recovery tally rose to 4,28,38,284 as 37,901 people got freed from the disease.

The recovery rate stands at 98.33 per cent. The active caseload stands at 2,02,131, the figures showed.

As per the bulletin, 76.01 crore tests for Covid-19 have been done so far.

India has administered 175.46 crore doses of Covid-19 vaccine so far under the ongoing nationwide vaccination drive. (UNI)
