COVID-19: India logs 5,664 new cases, active caseload dips to 47,922

New Delhi: India has registered 5,664 new Covid-19 cases, the Health Ministry said on Sunday.

According to the bulletin issued by the Health Ministry, the total caseload rose to 4,45,34,188 while the death toll rose to 5,28,337 as 35 more succumbed to the disease.

Total 4,555 people recuperated from the disease, taking the recovery to 4,39,57,929. The recovery rate stands at 98.71 per cent.

The active caseload stands at 47,922, the figures showed.

As per the bulletin, 89.15 crore tests for Covid-19 have been done so far.

India has administered 216.56 crore doses of Covid-19 vaccine so far under the ongoing nationwide vaccination drive. (UNI)
