COVID-19: India logs 795 cases, 58 deaths in past 24 hrs

New Delhi: As many as 795 people tested positive for Covid-19 in the country, the Union Health Ministry said on Tuesday.

According to the Ministry's bulletin, the total caseload rose to 4,30,29,839 while the death toll rose to 5,21,416 as 58 more people succumbed to the disease.

On a positive note, 1,280 more people recovered from the disease, taking the total tally to 4,24,96,369.

The recovery rate currently stands at 98.76 per cent in the country. The active caseload currently stands at 12,054, the figures showed.

According to the bulletin, 79.15 crore tests for Covid-19 have been done so far.

India has administered 184.87 crore doses of Covid-19 vaccine so far under the ongoing nationwide vaccination drive. (UNI)
