COVID-19: India records 4,777 new cases, active caseload declines to 43,994

New Delhi: India recorded 4,777 new Covid-19 cases, taking the total tally of active caseload to 43,994 as per the Health Ministry data on Sunday.

As many as 12 fresh fatalities were reported, taking the toll to 5,28,510.

A total of 5,196 patients recovered, taking total recoveries to 4,39,95,610 as the national recovery rate stood at 98.72 per cent.

According to the bulletin, 89.36 crore tests for Covid-19 have been done so far. In the last 24 hours, a total of 3,02,283 tests have been conducted.

"India has administered 217.56 crore doses of Covid-19 vaccine (94.76 crore second dose and 20.34 crore precaution dose) so far under the ongoing nationwide vaccination drive," Ministry data said. (UNI)
