COVID-19: India records 8,013 cases, 119 deaths in last 24 hrs

New Delhi: India has recorded 8,013 Covid-19 cases during the past 24 hours, the Union Health Ministry said on Monday.

According to the bulletin issued by the Ministry, the total caseload rose to 4,29,24,130, while the death toll rose to 5,13,843 as 119 succumbed to the disease.

The recovery tally rose to 4,23,07,686 as 16,765 people got freed from the disease. The recovery rate stands at 98.56 per cent.

The active caseload stands at 1,02,601, the figures showed. As per the bulletin, 76.74 crore tests for Covid-19 have been done so far.

India has administered 177.50 crore doses of Covid-19 vaccine so far under the ongoing nationwide vaccination drive. (UNI)
