New Delhi: India registered 5,554 new Covid-19 cases, the Health Ministry said on Saturday.According to a Ministry bulletin, the total caseload rose to 4,44,90,283 and the death toll to 5,28,139 after 18 more succumbed to the disease.
Also, 6,322 people recuperated from the disease, taking the recovery to 4,39,13,294. The recovery rate stands at 98.7 per cent.
The active caseload stands at 48,850, the figures showed.India has administered 214.77 crore doses of Covid-19 vaccine so far under the ongoing nationwide vaccination drive.(UNI)
