Maharashtra reports 4,024 Covid cases, 2 deaths in last 24 hrs

Aurangabad/Mumbai: Maharashtra reports 4,024 fresh Covid-19 cases and 2 related deaths, according to health bulletin on Thursday. 

With the addition of these new cases, the state’s cumulative case tally has surged to 79,19,412 and the death toll has gone up to 1,47,877.

Meanwhile, 3,028 patients were cured and discharged during the day across the state, taking overall count of recoveries to 77,52,304.

The state's recovery rate significantly came down to 97.89 per cent and fatality rate 1.86 per cent .

So far, 8,14,28,228 samples have been tested across the state and out of them 79,19,412 have been found to be positive i.e. 9.73 percent.

Presently, 19,261 active patients were undergoing treatment in different hospitals, across the state, the bulletin added.

Meanwhile, 15 Covid cases were reported in the Marathwada region of the state, including 9 in Latur district, 4 in Aurangabad and 2 cases in Jalna district, the bulletin further added. (UNI)
