Authorities in Iran said Sunday there are "no signs of contamination" after the US attacks on the country's key nuclear sites in Isfahan, Fordo and Natanz.

"No signs of contamination have been recorded," said Iran's National Centre for the Nuclear Safety System, which operates under Iran's Atomic Energy Organization.

"There is therefore no danger for the inhabitants living around the aforementioned sites."

No increase in 'off-site' radiation after strikes — IAEA

The UN's nuclear watchdog has said radiation levels have not increased outside the sites bombed by the US, even in Fordo, the hardest-hit target.

"Following attacks on three nuclear sites in Iran — including Fordo — the IAEA can confirm that no increase in off-site radiation levels has been reported as of this time," it said in a post on X, formerly Twitter.

"IAEA will provide further assessments on [the] situation in Iran as more information becomes available."
