New Delhi: BJP President JP Nadda on Thursday slammed Rahul Gandhi' for his remarks on the OBC community, says by comparing the OBC community to thieves shows his pathetic and casteist mindset.

"Rahul Gandhi has a huge ego but little understanding and has been insulting the OBC community by not apologising for the Modi surname remark despite the court order" Nadda tweeted.

BJP president said Rahul Gandhi gets a flak in the Courts but he refuses to apologise thus showing how deep rooted his hatred for OBCs is.....adding that the people of India did not forgive him in 2019…in 2024 the punishment will be more severe".

Nadda said Rahul Gandhi reduced the level of political discourse by making such comments against a particular community.

Nadda also said that "Chowkidar Chor Hai" remarks by Rahul Gandhi was not well taken by Congress leader.

He said neither Congress leaders nor Congress allies appreciated this deep slander against PM @narendramodi.

In fact, this issue was also taken up in CWC where the senior Congress leaders even supposedly expressed their unhappiness on it" he tweeted.

In 2019, Rahul Gandhi in Karnataka asked how come all thieves have 'Modi' surname in common.

Gujarat Minister Purnesh Modi filed a case against the comment and the verdict was announced on Thursday.

Meanwhile, BJP senior leader Bhupender Yadav also slammed Rahul Gandhi and said "It is strange that Congress is questioning even the judicial pronouncement".

"They must remember that abusing anyone doesn't come under the Right to Freedom. Rahul Gandhi has undoubtedly insulted the people, the country, the democracy" he said.

Yadav said Rahul Gandhi has become a habitual liar and he is on a constant mode to defame India.

"Moreover, his words reflecting his psychology of disrespect towards the OBCs is very much shameful" he said. (UNI)
