3 suspected Khalistan Zindabad Force members killed in UP encounter

Three Khalistani terrorists were killed in a joint operation by the Special Task Force (STF) and Punjab Police in Puranpur Kotwali, Pilibhit district, Uttar Pradesh, in the early hours of Monday.Three individuals were accused of attacking a police post with a grenade in Punjab's Gurdaspur district, according to the police.The suspected Khalistani terrorists had two AK-47 assault rifles and two Glock pistols along with a huge cache of ammunition with them.

Punjab DGP Punjab Gaurav Yadav said on X ( formerly Twitter) on Monday that ''the three operatives were identified as Varinder Singh, alias Ravi, Gurwinder Singh and Jashanpreet Singh, alias Partap Singh, of PS Kalanaur and are accused of attacking the Bakshiwala police station in Kalanaur in Gurdaspur district on December 19.

He said this module is controlled by Ranjeet Singh Nita, the chief of KZF, and operated by Jaswinder Singh Mannu, based in Greece, a resident of village Agwan. It is further controlled by Jagjeet Singh, based in the UK and serving in the British Army. Jagjeet Singh used the identity of Fateh Singh Baggi''.

Two AK guns and two Glock pistols were recovered in an encounter between a joint team of UP and Punjab Police with three dreaded criminals who hurled a grenade at a police post in Punjab's Gurdaspur distric, police said.''I thank UP police for the excellent support given in our interstate operation,'' Yadav said.

Investigations are underway to unravel the entire terror module.Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav in a post on X, said, "In a major success against the terror module of Pakistan sponsored Khalistan Zindabad Force (KZF), a joint operation of UP Police and Punjab Police led to an encounter with three module members who fired upon the police party."

All three accused were severely injured in the incident. He was shifted to Community Health Centre (CHC), Puranpur for immediate treatment on priority basis, police said.The police team investigating the case included Inspector Yashpal Singh, SI Devendra Kumar, SI Ramesh Chand, SI Rajdeep, SI Reema, and constable Pooja.<>
