Doctors save 8-year-old girl’s life by removing coin from intestine

Jammu: A team of doctors headed by DM Gastroenterology, Dr Imran Chouhan, an Assistant Professor Associated Hospital, Government Medical College, Rajouri saved the life of a minor girl by removing a coin from the Duodenal part of intestine.

Dr Mehmood Hussain Bajar Medical Superintendent Associated Hospital GMC Rajouri, said that coin (Rs 5) was removed through Endoscope by Dr Chouhan from the duodenal part of intestine of a 8-yr-old female child after accidental ingestion.

He said that the procedure was carried out under the overall supervision of Head Department of Medicine, Dr Jamil Ul Hassan Khan while the Endoscopy procedure was assisted by Mandeep Kour JSN, trained Endoscopy Technician and Chandni Heer JSN.

The family thanked the doctors for saving a precious life of their daughter. (UNI)
