Hyderabad: Indian Thali is the most balanced diet and the best in the world, said Pooja Makhija Celebrity Nutritionist, Author, and Entrepreneur.

Participating at a session ‘Nourish to Flourish’ organized by the FICCI Ladies Organization (FLO) here, the queen of healthy eating Makhija said Nutrition is one of the most underestimated partners in your health journey. Learn to love food and not fear it.

Carbohydrates are your friends. They are not your enemies. No food is bad for you. Intelligent nutrition is important. Only you need to alter the order of the food you eat. Eat food god made and not man-made. It will be good for you. Learn to love water, Makhija, the author of three books -- N For Nourish; Eat and Delete Junior and Eat and Delete, said.

She said 73 percent of Indians do not eat sufficient proteins. Women need more sleep than men.

Makhija is a Nutritionist to stars like Deepika Padukone, Sonam Kapoor, Ranbir Kapoor, Karan Johar, Mira Kapoor, Twinkle Khanna, Tammana Bhatia, Ishaan Khattar and Sushmita Sen.

The dietician in her career spanning nearly two decades transformed the bodies – and the lives – of over twenty-five thousand people and made planet Earth more than 125,000 kilos.

Another illustrious speaker Suparna Trikha, Author, Columnist, and Wellness Entrepreneur revealed in a one-and-a-half-hour session the secrets to feeling good inside-out.

Suparna said natural food is the best. Ammonia-free colour when applied to the hair does more harm than good. Hair ages six times faster than skin. So hair care is most important.

She has demonstrated a few healthy recipes. She spoke about natural food, healthy skin and hair.
