Deotsidh (HP): Security around Baba Balak Nath temple during the Chaitra fair beginning on March 14 will be monitored through drones so that no anti-social or anti-national elements could create any problems, police said.

Deotsidh is the seat of power of Baba Balak Nath, the incarnation of Lord Kartikeya, son of Lord Shiva.

Nearly seventy-five thousand people visit the temple during the year and most of them go during the month-long mela.

About thirty thousand devotees paid their obeisance in the cave on Sunday and Monday and the rush of the new devotees is increasing since Monday morning.

A spokesman of the Police department said for the first time in Deotsidh, the activities taking place during Chaitra fair will be monitored through drones. At the same time, more than 100 CCTV cameras of the police department and the trust will also keep an eye. Apart from this, police and home guard personnel will be deployed 24 hours. Deotsidh town will be divided into four sectors for the Chaitra fair.

SDM Barsar Dr. Rohit Sharma said the administration will arrange 24-hour free vehicle service for the convenience of the elderly, children and sick devotees coming to Deotsidh from Shah Talai. These vehicles will be present in the temple premises 24 hours.

Apart from this, there will be 24 hours uninterrupted langar facility.

During the Chaitra fair there will be a complete ban on drums in the temple premises, langar premises and trust canteen numbers one and two.

DC Hamirpur, Amarjeet Singh visited the temple twice and supervised the mela arrangements.
