Tirupati: Koil Alwar Tirumanjanam held at Padmavathi Ammavari temple

Tirupati: The traditional religious temple cleaning ritual of Koil Alwar Thirumanjanam in connection with Radha Saptami on February 4 was observed in Padmavati Ammavari temple at Tiruchanoor near here on Tuesday.

The entire temple, sub-temples, and puja utensils were cleansed with an aromatic ''Parimalam'' mixture from 6 AM till 9 AM.

Hyderabad-based Venkata Ramprasad Verma has donated 8 large temple door curtains to the temple and handed them over to Deputy Executive Officer Govindarajan.

Meanwhile, the temple authorities have cancelled Kalyanotsavam, Sahasra Deepalankara Sevas following the Koil Alwar Thirumanjanam.
