Tirumala: Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) laid the foundation stone for the launch of development works at Anjanadri, the birth place of Anjaneya Swamy at Tirumala hills on Wednesday.
The Bhoomi Puja for the works was performed at Anjanadri near Akashaganga at hill atop on the auspicious day of Magha Suddha Pournami and participated by prominent seers and pontiffs from across the country.
TTD, managing the world famous Venkateswara Swamy temple, had earlier announced that the Anjanandri was the Anjaneya Swamy birth place on the basis epic, geographical, archeological and epigraphical evidences available, according to a release here. It its endeavour to promote Anjanadri as a pilgrim center.
TTD has laid the foundation on Wednesday to take up the beautification and other development works. Prominent seers and pontiffs including Visakha Sharada Peetham pontiff Swaroopananda Saraswati Swami, Rama Janma Janmabhoomi temple construction Trust Treasurer Govinddev, Chittrakoot Mutt Peethadhipati Ramabhadracharyulu, VHP International General Secretary Koteswar Sharma also participated in the holy programme.
TTD Trust Board Chairman YV Subba Executive Officer A V Dharma Reddy TTD Executive Officer Dr K S Jawahar Reddy and Additional Executive Officer A V Dharma Reddy also participated in the programme. (UNI)
