Kolhapur: Devotees from across Maharashtra and other states have dedicated a total of Rs 16 crore valued golden and silver ornaments in Karveer Nivasini goddess Shree Mahalaxmi temples treasury.
Of 16 crore, Rs 12.21 crore golden and Rs 3.88 lakh silver ornaments assembled in Devsthan's treasury so far, Mahesh Jadhav, Western Maharashtra Devsthan Committee (WMDC) said in an official statement.
He said in nearby by Joytirling temple at Wadi-Ratnagiri in Panhala tehsil of this district, total 446.190 gram golden and 48271.100 grams silver ornaments valued Rs 13.59 lakh and Rs 18.53 lakh respectively, dedicated by devotees from April to June.
WMDC will take decision soon on to make gold and silver coin with replica of goddess Shree Mahalaxmi, with initiative of ' Kolhapur District Saraf Association', Mr Jadhav added. (UNI)
