It is believed that Lord Hanuman is a pratyaksha devta (a living deity) who is easily pleased and quick to grant blessings. However, if you are reciting the Hanuman Chalisa regularly and still not experiencing its benefits, it may indicate that you are unknowingly making certain mistakes.
Here, we explain why some people fail to receive the desired results from the Hanuman Chalisa and how it should be recited properly so that Lord Hanuman is pleased and your wishes are fulfilled.
You may begin the recitation of the Hanuman Chalisa on a Tuesday or Saturday. Follow this practice continuously for 40 days. After completing this period, you should then perform 21 recitations in a single day for the next 11 Saturdays and the next 11 Tuesdays. It is important to note that the recitation must begin early in the morning, precisely at 4 a.m.
If you follow this method with discipline and devotion, it is believed that your desires will be fulfilled and you will receive the results you seek. After completing the recitation through this method, the prasad should be offered to cows and monkeys and then distributed among others.
Once the entire recitation cycle is completed, a havan (ritual fire offering) should be performed. One offering should be made after each verse of the Hanuman Chalisa. After the havan, boondi or churma should be distributed among the poor.
With this, the entire spiritual ritual is considered complete, and the Hanuman Chalisa is believed to be spiritually empowered (siddh). Thereafter, whenever you face difficulties or crises, reciting the Hanuman Chalisa is said to bring immediate and miraculous relief.
