Washington: An Ohio man has been charged with raping a 10-year-old girl who later traveled to Indiana seeking an abortion after the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, according to court proceedings.
CNN quoted Columbus police and court documents as stating that Gerson Fuentes, 27, was arrested on Tuesday and appeared in court on Wednesday.
He has been charged with felony rape of a minor under the age of 13 years old, the Franklin County Municipal Court stated.
During the hearing, Detective Jeffrey Huhn said Fuentes had admitted to the authorities that he had raped the girl on at least two occasions.
On June 30, the girl underwent medical abortion in Indianapolis. (UNI)
