Beijing: An explosion took place in a coal mine in the eastern province of Shandong in China on late Saturday.
The blast occurred at the mine in Yuncheng county at around 11 p.m. local time (1500GMT). Atleast 22 workers have been trapped, Xinhua News Agency reported.
Rescue work is underway at the site, while the cause of the explosion is still unknown. (UNI)
