A lighthearted concert moment turned into a viral internet sensation when Andy Byron, CEO of Astronomer., and the company’s Head of HR, Kristin Cabot, were caught on the stadium’s kiss cam during a Coldplay concert at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts earlier this week.

The two executives were seen sitting closely, with their arms around each other, just as Coldplay’s frontman Chris Martin noticed them on the screen and commented, “Oh, look at these two.” As the camera stayed on them, Byron, who is married, suddenly pulled away and tried to hide behind a nearby barrier. Cabot, clearly caught off guard, covered her face in embarrassment.

Chris Martin, unaware of who they were or what the moment would spark online, joked to the crowd, “Either they’re having an affair or they’re just really shy,” drawing loud laughter from the audience. But the moment didn't stay inside the stadium.

Shortly after, videos of the interaction spread rapidly across social media platforms like TikTok, Reddit, and X (formerly Twitter). Online users were quick to identify the pair as high-ranking executives at Astronomer, a growing tech company based around data automation tools. Once their identities were confirmed, the tone online shifted with many expressing surprise, criticism, and humor.

Some users commented on the awkwardness of the situation, while others criticized the implications of the public moment. “Imagine finding out your spouse is cheating from a viral TikTok,” wrote one user. Others took a lighter approach, joking, “The only thing worse than being caught cheating is being a Coldplay fan.” A few defended the duo’s privacy, writing, “Let them be their personal lives aren’t ours to judge.”

Andy Byron, 50, is married to Megan Kerrigan Byron and lives in Northborough, Massachusetts, with their two children. Kristin Cabot is also reportedly married, adding more complexity to the public’s reaction.

Despite the sudden online spotlight, the company they represent Astronomer Inc. remains an influential player in the data infrastructure space. Astronomer offers a platform built around Apache Airflow, an open-source tool used to design, schedule, and monitor data pipelines. Airflow has become a go-to solution for data engineering teams around the world, especially as interest in AI and machine learning has surged. In 2024 alone, it was downloaded over 324 million times and is used by more than 80,000 organizations globally.

Astronomer’s technology helps automate analytics, reporting, and workflow processes, making it a valuable resource for companies across industries including finance, healthcare, gaming, retail, and manufacturing.
