Moscow: Darya Dugina, daughter of Russian philosopher and a close ally to Russia's President Vladimir Putin, died in a car explosion outside Moscow on Saturday evening when she was travelling home from an event.
The car reportedly belonged to her father Alexander Dugin, a prominent philosopher and social activist. He is also considered as "Putin's brain". It is thought that he may have been the intended target of the attack.
According to Russia's TASS news agency, the car exploded near the village of Bolshiye Vyazemy in the Moscow region. The car caught fire, lost control and flew to the other side of the road. Darya Dugina, born in 1992, died on the spot.
Local law enforcement has started an investigation into the incident. (Inputs from Agencies)
