Washington: US billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk refers to his children as a "legion" and wants to bring more people with high intelligence to the planet, The Wall Street Journal reported on Wednesday, citing people familiar with the matter.
Musk has at least 14 children with four women, including Canadian singer Grimes and Shivon Zilis, director of operations at Neuralink, the company he founded, but is believed to have far more descendants than is known to the public.
Within Musk's vision of the world, civilization is threatened by shrinking population and he seeks to fix this by bringing more highly intelligent people into the world, the newspaper reported.
During the pregnancy of writer Ashley St. Clair, who is the mother of his alleged child, Musk reportedly suggested bringing in more women to deliver more children at a faster rate.
"To reach legion-level before the apocalypse, we will need to use surrogates," Musk said to St. Clair in a message quoted by the newspaper.
Musk has been finding potential mothers for his children on his social network X, the sources said.
St. Clair and other sources told the paper that Musk paid the mothers of his children for keeping silent. In particular, some payment agreements contained a non-disclosure clause.
