Mexico City: The number of people killed in an explosion at a ruptured oil pipeline in Mexico’s central Hidalgo state has increased to 73, Governor Omar Fayad said on Sunday.
“So far there have been 73 killed,” the official said.
The incident occurred amid a fuel crisis in the country sparked by the government’s campaign to curb fuel stealing.
According to news reports, the explosion was caused by fuel thieves on Friday in Hidalgo State, who punctured the gas pipeline, UN news reported. (UNI)
