Amidst rising speculation on social media, Information Advisor Mahfuj Alam, Local Government Advisor Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuyain, and National Citizen Party Nahid Islam convenor met Yunus on Thursday evening at his official residence.

The NCP chief stated that Yunus expressed his discomfort over the rising protests over conflicting demands.

"I cannot work like this if you, all the political parties, cannot reach a common ground," the NCP chief quoted Yunus, talking to BBC Bangla.
