Washington: Iran has launched missiles at a dummy US aircraft carrier, destroying it, in the strategic Strait of Hormuz.The drill was named Prophet Mohammed 14th.
On Tuesday, Iran major General Hossein Salami said "What was shown today in these exercises, at the level of aerospace and naval forces, was all offensive," BBC reported.
The drill included heavy firing which led the US military to temporarily put two regional bases on alert.
The US navy condemned the "irresponsible and reckless behaviour by Iran", labelling it an attempt "to intimidate and coerce".This military exercise from Iran came at a time of increased tension between Tehran and Washington in the Gulf waters.(UNI)
