Sindh: Taking a dig at Imran Khan over his way of handling the Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP), Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah said the PM is more suited to a job at the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) than as Prime Minister.

Addressing the media after a hearing of the Nooriabad Power Plant money laundering case, the CM said everyone knows how Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) won elections.

"Now the people of PTI will forfeit their guarantees in the elections because the tide has now turned," he said.

Geo TV further quoted Shah as saying that precious lives were lost due to the incompetence of the government on the issue of TLP.

He also urged the stakeholders to think about country's interest.

Citing PM Khan's recent comment that the Pakistan cricket team is playing well because of him, the CM said, "I had said earlier [too], that it is better for PM Imran Khan to work in the Pakistan Cricket Board."

This comes a day after the TLP and the government reached an agreement after several weeks of violence.

According to the settlement reached between the two parties, TLP has agreed to call off its long march towards Islamabad and Prime Minister Imran Khan-led government has agreed to not take legal action against the group and release the arrested protesters.

Citing sources, ARY News said, the proscribed organisation on Sunday agreed to call off its intended long march towards Islamabad, adding that it was also agreed that no legal action would be taken against TLP workers by the government.

During the meeting it was also agreed that the TLP will be allowed to take part in the mainstream politics.

The government, on the other hand, has agreed to release all arrested workers of the proscribed outfit while those who are in custody over terrorism and other serious offences will have to seek relief from the courts, sources told Geo News. (UNI)
