Moscow: New Zealand's charity Givealittle has raised over 2.2 million New Zealand dollars (over $1.5 million) to help families of victims of the mass shooting in two mosques that left 49 people killed and dozens injured.
Over 33,800 donors have made a contribution, according to Givealittle's website.
"Dozens of families have been bereaved and many more injured by today's horrific shootings. They deserve our help and support! All donations received to this page will be used to provide support and resources for people affected by the Christchurch shootings and their family members," the charity said.

The violent shooting in two mosques in the eastern New Zealand's city of Christchurch took place on Friday. Three people suspected of involvement in the attack have been detained, and one person has been charged with murder. New Zealand's Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern called the shooting a terrorist act, saying it was the country's "darkest day."
