Sindh: An 11-year-old Hindu boy, who was abducted on Guru Nanak Jayanti, was sexually assaulted after being brutally murdered in Pakistan's Sindh province, the police said, adding the body has been found in an abandoned house.
The Express Tribune quoted the family members of Kaana Sachdev as saying they were unaware of the boy going missing due to the celebrations.
"The entire family was busy in Guru Nanak’s birthday events. We do not know how the child went missing. He was found dead in the house at 11 pm," Raj Kumar, a relative of the child told The Express Tribune.
Sachdev was a Class 5 student.
The police and local representatives of the Child Protection Authority shifted the body to Civil Hospital Sukkur for a postmortem examination.
According to the SHO of the Babarloi police station, the boy was sexually assaulted after being strangled to death.
"We have arrested two men, one of whom has confessed to the crime," he stated.
Earlier this week, a schoolteacher was arrested by the Rawalpindi police for sexually abusing a 7-year-old girl at a school in the garrison city.
The incident took place during lunch break. (UNI)
