PM leaves for Korea, to receive 2018 Seoul Peace Prize

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday late evening left for Seoul for a two-day visit.
During his stay, Mr Modi will be conferred upon with the 2018 Seoul Peace Prize at a ceremony to be organised by the Seoul Peace Prize Cultural Foundation on February 22, "in recognition of his national and international contributions". 
 
"Continuing the momentum of high-level exchanges. PM Narendra Modi emplanes for Seoul on a 2-day State Visit to the Republic of Korea. The visit will strengthen our special strategic partnership with South Korea and add dynamism to our Look East Policy," MEA spokesman Raveesh Kumar tweeted.
 
Earlier Prime Minister tweeted to say-"During our talks, President Moon Jae-in and I will take forward our conversations from last year on how best to advance the India-ROK partnership". 
"I will also meet business leaders,  the Indian community as well as eminent persons from all walks of life," Mr Modi wrote.
 
The visit will further demonstrate the priority India attaches to deepening multi-dimensional engagement with the Republic of Korea as part of the Act East Policy," MEA officials said.(UNI)
